Luther Park at Sandpoint seeks a Life Enrichment Manager to join its team. Luther Park at Sandpoint consists of 60 assisted living rental apartment homes, as well as 27 additional residences for seniors requiring memory care services. The Life Enrichment Manager is responsible for planning and delivery of recreational (activity) programming designed to meet and honor the physical, social, spiritual, sensory and psychological needs of all residents, based on an assessment of their individual needs and interests. Specific responsibilities include:
Ensures appropriate recreation programming is provided to meet the needs of current and future residents by keeping abreast of changes and innovations in the area of recreational activities, as well as state and federal regulations regarding long-term care.
Designs and implements Recreational Therapy programming systems, according to resident/client needs, interests, and functioning levels. Develops and maintains policies and procedures pertaining to Recreation Department and communicates these to Recreation staff and other departments.
Performs assessments (initial, quarterly, annual) of residents' recreational needs and completes required sections of MDS, assists in the development of care plan to meet those needs, and participates in resident care conferences.
Plans and conducts individual and group activities, events, and outings to meet the assessed needs of residents, supervises Life Enrichment staff, provides transportation using facility vehicle and documents resident participation in recreational and activity programming.
Supervises Life Enrichment staff.
Empowers residents to develop interpersonal relationships, socialize effectively and develop confidence to participate in individual and group activity programming.
Responsible for department budget and ensuring availability of supplies.
Maintains an interdisciplinary focus, being mindful of the needs and operations of other departments. Communicates with other departments in advance of events that will require their assistance and participation.
Develops and maintains a master calendar of events, outings and other recreational opportunities for residents.
Performs additional tasks as assigned by Housing Director

This position requires a person who has a minimum of three to four years related experience and a four year degree in a related field. Knowledge and understanding of the field of geriatrics and the interpersonal, spiritual and psycho-social needs of older adults is also desirable. This position requires the employee to possess a valid driver's license and driving record which meets Driver Policy standards and proof of vehicle insurance. Must meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations which include Medical Certification and Road Test, if applicable. All employees must possess the ability to communicate effectively, including written and verbal skills; work well, both individually and as part of a team, through respect, collaboration and dedication; and successfully interact with a diverse culture base. The successful candidate must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently, and demonstrate a positive attitude, high integrity and ethical awareness.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
